You must be one of those ignorant people that only thinks of themselves. Me to then. It was not about pleasing me like I asked for something some major change or other guy did and we did not get our way and are butt hurt . Looks like he just want a working app simple if you did not catch that not very bright..
Let me explain business motto customer is always right if what asking for is not unreasonable
I'm sure Is it my fault it no longer works sure pal.. and I see works for VAST majority of people I will by a new media pad or ios tablet so I don't have to deal with bull
I see your post looks and runs great for you … but if you spent 300.00 or what ever it was for everything forget been so long 2018 and it went backwards sure you would say something bud
I feel your pain mate. As has been said before by others we want to help and need more information to do so.

@jyamona

Is there any chance you could add these features:

1) A knock counter gauge that factors in all 6 cylinders and shows a number from 0 being no knocks to how ever many knocks that are being detected live? This will allows us to see if cylinders are knocking in real time and know that the gas is poor or the tune is too agressive or iats are too high, instead of having to look at logs later on too see timing retardation, this would be way more useful than a timing gauge since you can only see so many cylinders without taking up the whole display and unless you stare at it the whole time the max and min on the timing gauge is useless compared to a knock counter. I believe cobb's access port has this, jb4 has something similar which is the average ignition gauge, and bm3 I believe has something like this as well.

2) Lap timer integration with Harry's lap timer, or even an MHD module that allows a laptimer + gps + camera integration. I would defintely pay extra for something like this.

3) Differential temperature logging for those of us with active M differentials and track the car and would like to know the temps, the F8X cars have a temp sensor as well so I would hope it is possible.

Anyways this is just me being hopeful, I know you guys are extremely busy but if you can maybe think about it then it would be awesome.

For cars with CIC; M laptimer in BMW connected drive syncs GPS throttle steering angle braking and gforce with Go pro. It won't link all the data but its available right now

BMW M Laptimer records the following vehicle sensor data:

– GPS location

– Speed

– Forward acceleration

– Lateral acceleration

– Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h or 60 mph

– Accelerator pedal‡

– Steering angle‡

– Deceleration‡

– Engine speed‡

– Gear‡

– Consumption‡

It's nifty if all you want is location and time and a video imput and your pedal imputs vs. cornering speed and G force, but for more serious track junkies that data is insufficient - especially when wanting to monitor the cars performance like AFR, oil temps, oil pressure, coolant temps, boost, afr, etc. Also the GPS input on that is based off of the car or phone if i am not mistaken, and that is inferior and quite inaccurate compared to stand alone GPS sensors that Harry's lap timer can utilize. Also harry's lap timer has a huge track data base.

Yeah I agree its more novelty than a serious racers data logger.

Is there a way to add optional live options to the gauges menu? I get the separate menu because more things are going to be added later, but if there was a way to add max cool to the live gauges screen optionally.

Id love to just be able to tap and not do multiple tabs out and back in to turn that on. @jyamona

The gauges are bigger in portrait than landscape because the logging button stays on top. I would like to see it back on the side like the old setup. Bigger gauges and easier to press.

I also like the X button to get rid of the log button when manual logging is enabled. There is only so much space on a phone screen, taking full advantage of it is key.

my app just froze again today, it was not the adapter coming loose as judged by the still present green light, to restart it I just hit the back button and reclicked on monitor and the gauges went back online. It's a pretty annoying bug.

I'm still finding myself trying to have 2x4 setup and then remembering you can only monitor 6 inputs. What's the point of the extra 2 available gauges. This has bugged me for a while.

You can monitor up to 30 on N54, more on F+G series cars. Go to the monitor options screen and uncheck some you don't care about, then you will be able select what you want for you 2x4.

There is no way to go back to pre version 2 of the app is there?

The new UI is so much slower, I am using a cheap Huawei phone that has nothing but MHD on it, but it worked perfectly with V1.x.

If not can I suggest the monitoring screen goes back to two buttons, one for monitoring with manual logging and one for monitoring with auto logging enabled.

The tiny check box is fiddly to hit.

Also where are you supposed to press on the start logging box? It takes a bunch of presses and 10-30 seconds for logging to start.

And I saw monitor alarms mentioned, how do you set them up?

I looked in the documentation but couldn’t find it.

There is no going back to the old UI. We will constantly be making improvements to the new one though.

As for gauge alerts, go to the Monitor Options screen, and in the params list, swipe left on a param you want to add alerts for. A popup window will appear where you enter the min/max thresholds. In the Config expandable at the top, you can also set things like if a beep should be played, and the min pedal value to have the alerts active.

The user guide is being rewritten with all this information.

THanks for that, the alert function is a good one.
In regards to the start logging box does it matter where you press?
Is it just my phone being slow that it takes multiple presses?

EDIT: Thanks your finding and reading my post. Unfortunately, Spoolstreet is no longer a neutral platform where we can have honest discussions on subjects and products freely.
For this reason I have deleted all information I posted on the forums.
