You mean an MSD81 ?
Mines an 06/09 as well and I have an MSD81 though I don't know if you need that explicitly for the conversion

Sorry I misread and thought yours was MY09. I think someone more qualified with DCT conversions can help. @BMWJunkie is the man to ask.
Just got myself a 2010 Z4 35is DCT and i don't care about drivelogic and adjustable launch etc.
Is it possible to have the box shift hard and rapid as a standard setting by only reprogramming the TCU?

Aside from how the engine tune affects the shifting, the only way i know how is to implement M3 drivelogic.
Looking at doing the wavetrac 2.81 and will take it in to a shop to do the work.

My guess is It should be ok as the ratio isn’t too far off standard.

All will be fine as the 2.81 will work with either programming. Non-M or M. That's the route I went in case I wanted to revert back. By the way, I have no intention of ever going back!
u Will need the GWS e9x m3 and an 3.15 diff ratio too
Totally off the subject here but I thought you might enjoy this pic. It was in my 335is as an experiment for fit and function and to reverse the process for possible fitment of M3 clusters in Z4's.
Fits perfectly. Exact same dimensions and placement of mounting screw holes, same pinout for connector. After I virginized it and default coded it in my car I just had to try coding a couple things to get the fuel level to register properly. I've been doing a lot of cluster work now as my retirement job so I sold a virgin M3 cluster to a guy, just waiting for him to install it so I can remote in and hopefully get it to work as well in reverse. Other than the E parking brake and fuel tank size everything else is the same.

I am SOOOO envious of your low mileage 335is! Mine just rolled over 105k miles.
Awesome work! That cluster looks great. I really want to get a virginized M3 cluster at some point.
I just have a tendency to define things as I think I run across them, but they obviously planned for or left the door open for a 1M DCT. I can't help not to wonder what hardware/coding might be needed to get it active on 335is or Z4is, but seems like it would have to be a lot less work than the M3 swap, maybe for a lot less benefit too, no idea.Good to know if i ever feel like a change.
Also @RSL has been digging around in the IKMOS ROM. He’s found some stuff relating to the Mdrive switches. DOnt know if its just where it sits in the ROM or if theres a chance to enable something that isnt otherwise ...
Just a few I think are correct:
Am I right in thinking that these are the values for the various Drive settings ? Or are they activation flags for these features? If they're the second one and they aren't active it could explain why mDrive doesn't work with the IKMOS rom in @dyezak and @LMB335is cars.
Or I could be WAY off track ...

My ambition is to one day get the drive logic and MDrive into my car but like others the final drive change and therefore the cost in dollar terms as well as drivability are too high. If it could be done through software though.......

Just flags to enable/disable functions, but doesn't mean they are the only conditions needed to be met in order for something to work. I really would just like DriveLogic myself, but if there's a way to get everything for 1M without a driveline swap, I'd do the whole thing.
