Here's a new turbo design I saw on Facebook. It should be good for 700whp

DPs still attached to make those stock Mitsubishi's with a shoddily welded external wastegate look more special?

Typical Facebook. +1000 HP to the wheels bruh.

I mean, I've seen some sloppy stuff before, but this just seems like a bit overkill/oversized for hybrids.

Anyone else not understanding how outlets and inlets and engine are all supposed to fit in a 335 with those ?

Its prob cause you always hear people say how they hear the wastegate more with single so he figures bigger wastegate is more power. Either that or really doesnt like wastegate rattle. Should just put a linkage to gas pedal for straight clamp action.

Id love to see if this works, adding external wastegates to stock frame stuff is big for other platforms and works great.

Considering how trash our wastegates are, this is a solid option if done right and it works

Other platforms add external wastegates because the oem gate either can't flow enough or has trouble staying closed at higher hp levels. This is not a problem on N54 - OE style wastegates have done over 700 whp on pures, MMP, etc.

The only explanation here is whoever put this contraption together ate too much glue as a child.

The pictures remind me of some of the first ST N54 builds where people used two OEM exhaust manifolds and piped them together with some first-time garage welds lol.

All joking aside, before MMP came out with PnP and reasonably-priced BB Garrett CHRA turbos I had always wondered if adding an external WG to some 1K manifolds and running legit Garrett's would fit with some custom fabrication and probably relocating some more stuff in the engine bay. So aside from the sloppy welds, I'm a little disappointed hes dropping the engine in a different chasis tbh lol.

Sure, but the gates are also rattle prone crap even on fresh turbos. So eliminating that would be nice.
