Did you use the e70 x5 35i 8hp? Im having the same problem with xhp even with the cas set to the donor vin. Upon further investigation i also found pin 20 on the cas apears to go to the dmw for ews. Currently have ews4 active on cas but syveca s7 for enginge management and tool 32 is showing ews not even etempted. I am still stuck in park

How are you controlling the tcu? I’m using cantcu w/ a 8hp45 in my e90 and haven’t had any issues.
