I checked the air pressure on all four tires. The right front was low about 4 psi for I added some more air...

Sounds like most are really modding their rides!
Yes..I’ve cloned the CIC hard disc with a solid state copy to try and get around a random rebooting of the CIC when cold or damp…plus patching the extra data leads to allow my new digital instrument display support boost sensor and blind spot monitoring …😳

Its been covered on E90 forums under CIC rebooting / HDD replacement..some people have used adapter cards and compact flash..I stuck to a relatively simple PATA SDD copy of the OE PATA HDD..I can give you the exact path I trod if you wish.. AFTER I re-install it and it works!!-:)

Leaping around from one sub project to another..

The prospect of trying to install a new dishwasher distracted me enough to tackle the issue of how to mount the new Audiotec Fischer Match 10 DSP / amp and the required MOST gateway adapter to allow the two channel conventional optical digital in for the amp to talk to the MOST BMW data link that’s used for several purposes on E89s and if you have the 677 top-fi 14 speaker system the CIC head unit..

The old 677 amp sits on the rear boot bulkhead..it has a custom made bracket to hold it in place.

After much much mastication I decided to try an re-use it for both the new DSP and the MOST to digital input bridge..

Neat job..I’ll use the tang on the original bracket to glue to the removable bracket on the amp to fully support it..result..

I discovered that I need access to the jumper pins on the MOST bridge as part of the set up ..so access was required to both sides of the MOST bridge.

First world problems.

On a side note my attempt to use the new boost sensor for the ID4 Motion meant I needed more than 1 metre of 5 bar boost pipe..only ordered a metre..so now ordered 2 metres.. :headbang:

Completed replacing the crappy OEM leaking valve cover with an upgraded aluminum one and finished off my oil catch can install, no oil leaks anywhere and no oil collecting in either of the cans! This weekend I plan to finish wiring in my Reflex to get one step closer to finishing off the PI system.

Two days after taking delivery of the car the battery failed since the previous owner installed a different battery and did not register or code it. , since then I've been having periodical electrical malfunctions. I had the FRM serviced, changed out the BCM and now I have to change out my CAS module as it has since crashed, preventing the motor from starting. :disappointed:
Gah dayum that thing is sick! I've never seen a heavily modified z4 35i. Seems like everyone who owns one just keeps them stock :(
