I updated on another post but these turbos are still running great for me. No problems, no burning oil, and plenty of boost.
Any idea on the miles you've put on them?

Ever upgrade your fueling or still just DI only power levels?

I know this is old, but there is some great information.

Did you re-balance it before install (I saw you mentioned they were not balanced well from the factory)
Any modifications to WG?
Would it be worth it to change out any other components on or around turbos?
Will these work with stock outlets / inlets?

My current stock turbos are still good, I am just looking into options for the future. A family friend owns a turbo shop in town so I am thinking of getting some cheap ones and having him go through them before I throw them on.

Thanks man!

Which turbos cause you posted in few diff threads that they failed. You should def edit the pure post at the least.
Panicky posting like that is what makes internet horrible cause people jump to conclusions and point fingers. What is failed on them maybe they aren't toast ,maybe they are I'm just saying should make sure before hurting anyones rep and that would be great for you if they werent blown.

Account made today and posted only about failed china turbos in 4 threads....
That's common people lurk then make account after problem. Plus I doubt he would be lying and put that wedge tuned it cause wedge could easily confirm things for us.

Wedge likely has no idea who this cat is, and even if Wedge knew, he still has no idea what turbos he's running. From Wedge's perspective, logs are logs, and most cast twins are going to look similar on logs. And even if Wedge installed them by hand, there's no saying they did actually fail, because this cat would be back to Mexico by the time they did.

This guy posted earlier today in a FB post about his failed turbos, when I asked how they failed he said "turbo siren and no boost" I asked about boost leaks or vacuum lines or if he had pulled the turbos. He would not expand anymore than that. Think he might be jumping the gun about his failed turbos.

Mine are still going strong, it does drive me a little crazy when people want to know every other week how my turbos are doing. I've said this before and will say it again, If my turbos fail I will post it here! So far these seem to be a great cheap solution with great performance, especially when the value of these cars continue to drop. Now we just need someone to start manufacturing quality cheap index 12 injectors, blows my mind how much those cost now.

UK gets sets of injectors $600-700ish.

I'm so ready to try the Chinese turbos, just tough when Pure Stage 2 cast is $1980.

Well good thing you posted here.

Before bashing me for lack of post I have to say the only reason I got these turbos, was finding this thread and no actual reports of failing.

I thought it is my duty to report back that I had them installed and failed.

My point is to find out whether I can fix them or if I should go another route.

They make no boost. All vacuum solenoids and lines are new. I had spent months looking for a boost leak that was not there (it was actually the stock intake with sport filter, restricting air, as I only got DCI's later and had a boost drop at about 5500 rpm) so boost leak is out of the question.

They make the classical siren sound and build no boost. when i unplug the vacuum canister there is no more turbo siren sound, nor any boost.

That has led me to the obvious conclusion that the sound is from the turbo (aside from the obvious sound).

I wish the culprit was different. The problem is I cannot pull them off and wait for weeks/months as I am in europe, to get other turbos, therefore I must order something else or find out if they are fixable or not, before pulling the car apart again, for obvious labor cost reasons. I did not buy 850 usd turbos just to spend another 500 now to investigate if they are done...i would rather buy pure for 1900 and just get them installed... moreover the car shop said they cannot take them down and store the car till I get new turbos as they have no place for that.

Will resort to getting the dps of and look for play and oil as wedge instructed, but before that I thought I would go back to the thread that presented the turbos in the first place without getting scoulded :))

Lets see your order from an eBay screenshot?

Did you replace the oil drains and who installed these turbos?

Lastly the manufacturer that is reliable to buy from is ispeedytech. Us guys running these for 15k miles without issues bought from there and installed properly.

I wait with baited breath for evidence of his purchase.

What Threetirtyfive is saying. It's a well known fact that you get bashed hard on this and other (US) forums if you are positive about chinese products. Unfortunately it has become effective as most people running these turbo's and other chinese products no longer report anything.

However; the truth is very different; In various BMW Whatsapp groups they are open for discussion and do report thier experience. A lot of people (specially in UK) have been running the ispeedytech turbo's for 20k already with good results.
At this moment, I have no reason not to buy them as soon as my stockies let go.

Below is the screenshot, in case you absolutely need proof.

They were installed by a local shop that has enough experience. The turbo oil lines were inspected and cleaned, turbo install kit gaskets etc was also applied.

The seller has replied asking for more info. I will see how this works out.

Is ispeedytech in uk? i needed UK or EU delivery, and this seller provided them quickly.

How can I actually tell what failed and what the cause would be. The easiest way is to bullshit about installation error.

Let's say the oil drain lines were not ok (despite not actually seing any indication that other turbo manufacturers ask for the lines to be replaced), how can I see after pulling DPs or Turbos, that this was actually the cause?

I suspect bad ballancing as they were not VSR balanced. I also cannot believe al the seller is reporting because they are advertised as TD04 and we all know they are not, as per resulting from these threads....
