Got an interesting issue. Running E85 , the flex reading on MHD is saying E78-79 but, testing with my zeitronix gives E84 (I can swap the plugs on the sensor). Wondering if there is something out in the motive box calibration or my setup?

So you DON'T have port injection or do you? Port injection ises aic controller which needs to be wired differently.
No im not running port injection. That was the wire that was shrink wrapped for it not being used. Mhd just wrote me back noting

"Please check all wires and everything, sounds like something electrical went bad.

Did you also use V8 map? Only V8 maps work with flex fuel and it must be a long reflash not a quick reflash."

I thought it was kinda weird that the flash too about 10 min.. original flash to stage 2 was only about 20 min

Around 10 min is the correct time for this flash w/ a good cable. Based on your screenshot of last map name, the FF logic was added correctly.

The codes look like a wiring issue. Please double check each wire against the install guide PDF.

Also. See picture... Voltage showed zero... I know this is def issue.. But not sure where the issue is.. yes.. It showed I flashed v8 ff 93 oct... But that low voltage......

Now that I'm up to speed (long read), I'll finish up the Motiv FF install (installed short line content sensor last night). It seems like a no brainer for running Ethanol. Excited!

v8 Stg2+ E30 log:

https://datazap.me/u/marseille/mhd-...-2-lpfp?log=0&data=4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-22-23-24

Grabbed this from an earlier post. Still same process?

1. First purchase the FlexFuel module from the Google Play store.
2. Purchase or have a FlexFuel map ready to load. So here is where you’d flash your V1.0 map from your tuner prior to tuning.
3. Flash the FlexFuel map, but don’t start the engine after flashing.
4. Disconnect the battery.
5. Wire in the Motiv FlexFuel module into the DME and hook it up to the ethanol content sensor.
6. Reconnect the battery and start the engine.

You can install and then flash, there is just a chance of an error code or two until the map is flashed.

Also, if you are using OTS maps, you must have: pump gas map pack, ethanol map pack, FF module, and then you will flash the PUMP map. It will be automatically converted to an FF map at flash time.

I fucked that up somehow.

ECV @ 0.25 sitting.
Ignition on (no start) 5v
Ethanol content 100%
Fuel Interpolation 100%
Idle bounces all over the place, half check engine light. Codes below. My DME box doesn't exactly match the instructions.

No white/purple wire in pin 16 (empty). I installed black with green heat shrink.
Installed Orange at pin 25
Pulled yellow at 10 and inserted male into pulled female and inserted new female.
Connected red wire to inside wire on bottom side of green plug. It only had two brown wires coming out.
Grounded black to chassis.
Connected plug to GM sensor.

Already purchased FF module. Flashed v8 93 St 2 prior install. Discounted battery, blah blah.

I took a break, regrouped and headed back to solve.

Pulled the connector off the passenger side DME connection and removed the small black subconnector. Found pin 16 with a white/purple wire. Disconnected. Moved the FF black w/ green heak shrink over. And got these values:

29476

I started the car and got these errors. What did I screw up? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is this an n55? Those errors are foreign to me.
Also, if you hooked up all wires correctly, there should be zero issues. Contact Jyamona or Motiv to clarify your specific situation as you car may be an exception to the normal wiring.

I fixed the wiring. You can see from the images above Ethanol 39.6 % . ECV @ 1.49v .

I think the Ethanol % is spot on to what I calculated filling up and running MHD v7.1 E40.

After fixing the wiring, I reflashed v8 Stage 2+ 93 Octane waited 30 seconds and started the car. Idle bounces like it has a huge cam in it. Here are the new codes:

Try to clear the codes, reset throttle adaptations and make sure to wait the correct time after for the procedure to complete.

I have an interesting situation with FF on the E content. The Zeitronix which I can switch to on the same sensor(unplug /plugin) reads higher ,much closer to accurate E for E85 . Thats accross any multiple tanks of E85 to ensure there was no residual. The most MHD reads is E80. Most recently 78.8% at 2.48V. I am dumping in some regular fuel to see what a lower range comparison looks like. Say just a few % E. Thoughts? Faulty calibration or sensor?

Also get some codes on start up since installing it. Which are mixture and fuel pump and some 'incomplete' rediness ones which probably dont matter?

I tried this with no luck. Something is wrong. I pulled the charge pipe, throttle body, intake, etc. off. inspected and checked all connections. Everything is in its correct place. I'm going to pull the Motiv FF unit out tomorrow/today(it's late) and flash back to my last known healthy state. If the throttle codes/issues are still there then I know I screwed the pooch on the install.

Not my car but it's doing exactly what this car is doing...

Five years ago in the Cobb era I experienced the same oscillating throttle / rpm at idle after resetting throttle adaptations. Here are my notes on the procedure that fixed this problem. I hope you find this helpful:

Need to reset lambda adaptations : after adaptation reset:
30sec key off
30sec key on/engine off
30sec key off
30sec key on/engine off
start car.
(Consider reflashing)
(Consider resetting ECU. After the DME Reset (always last step), you MUST wait ~5 sec.)
(No pedal response and weird oscillating revs means the DME never reset after adaptations were cleared. Sleep or Restart the DME)
(Exactly my experienced today. I reset all adaptations. Got oscillating RPMs upon restart with no throttle response and half-engine light. Rad Fan may have been on too. Turned off. Reset DME with Cobb. Key out. Restarted just fine, maybe some idling hiccups. Waited a few minutes for idle rpm to settle and then drove off just fine. 93 Octane with my PTF e-tune. No need to re-flash...just reset the DME.)
