Good day all, I recently concluded tuning of the N54 to 22psi on pump gas, although the performance now is 100 times better, I know there is ALOT more left in it. The tuner indicated on multiple occasions that the DME is pulling timing excessively most likely because of fuel quality. The widely known benefits of injection have made me an advocate for and user of water/meth in all my builds, this one is no exception. In my humble opinion all the available kits on the market never tick all the boxes when it comes to quality, control strategy, inputs and outputs together with safeguards, so I usually put together a custom kit that meets all my criteria and then some.
Knowing that the quality and capability of the brains behind the system is critical, I found the ABSOLUTE BEST controller on the market (for me at least) is the Torque Byte CM5-LTS, the functionality and features speak for themselves! the other components in the system are also of the highest quality I could find as I don't want to risk failures which would most likely result in some sort of engine damage.

I also placed a seventh nozzle in the charge pipe after the intercooler, the controller allows me to implement a 2 staged system, the single nozzle operates first at lower boost then the PI ones come in later on to ensure each cylinder gets the juice. I will post pics of the single nozzle and component placement later. For safety, I have a flow meter installed on stage 1, the output from which will be programmed to trigger a relay which will kill power to the boost solenoids if the specified flow @ a specified boost is not detected. Along with this there is a low-level switch which can also be made to trigger the same or another output to cause something else to happen, I will decide what when I do the final set up, I may even include a pressure switch too!

Nope! that's why I posted a link 'cause there is a pic of the EOS manifold in there.

It would have been easier to quote me and say Yes eos. Or don't quote me and just agree on EOS or whatever. So once again that is where the confusion kicked in. Anyways good luck on your project dont want to derail thread.

I have been a meth head for years as well.

Good quality basics for sure.
A few questions-

Are you going to pwm the pump or just one just Hobbs switch)?

What size nozzles?

It looks like you maybe spraying a fair bit, what's you pump inlet side going to be?

On a safety front you best ditch those push fittings, they will eventually bring you grief.

Look forward to your progress.

The controller runs the pump directly no Hobbs switch here, it has two high current 20A PUMP outputs, both of which are mappable from 0-100% PWM controlled, the 5bar pressure switch allows it to see boost but the user determines when the pump starts. I usually have the pump running at 50% before injection starts to pressurize the system fully and max out to 100 by max boost. The second output can be used for a second pump or even a secondary fuel pump, I use it for the A2W circulation pump on my F22.

What size nozzles?
they are all 1000 cc which allows me a very wide control range.

Inlet and outlet are both 6AN.

WOW! never considered failures there, will start getting fittings together to do all AN lines, thanks for the tip!

Look forward to your progress.
Thanks!

Pic of single nozzle, one solenoid and the pump, I normally use neodymium magnets to mount stuff, the pump in this case, so I don't have to do any drilling.

Soooo, I finally got around to mounting the reservoirs in the trunk, I expect most people to ask why two so I will explain before the questions begin flying. This decision has to do with music as well as water meth!! When I first got the car, I thought the sound system was good but (as usual) still needed some improvements, and I knew I would eventually be injecting as I do with all my builds. One of the musical improvements needed was the bass line which would have called for a proper sub box, but with the roof storage requirements in the Z, trunk space is at a premiums premium! So, to have my cake and eat it to, I decided to have a subwoofer box built to fit immediately behind the partition, placing the 8" sub directly Infront of the pass through and then hang the reservoir off the back of the box. After I did one tank, I realized a second would not change the available storage space, but it would double the system capacity, so .......

The lines from each are connected with a Y fitting (yes, they will be operating as a single tank) before going to an isolation valve then a filter.

The roof support fits in place as per design which means the tanks are not getting in the way, please excuse the missing finishers, I'm presently running out some wires for an upcoming project.

Here you can see the lines and fittings, please excuse the wires, they are for the upcoming/in progress second LPFP project! :sunglasses:

is it true that EOS is the only alu intake manifold that can be fitted with the oem airbox. I have e89 z4, airbox is better in design that other n54 cars i beliewe. I do not want any DCI that is for shure.

What is the issue usually. Is it the added fuel rail for PI sitting too high? Is it limiting the space? I believe i can make DIY mounting solution if only there is phisical space under the e89 bonnet.

I have strut brace on my e89. Since i have PI plate now i had modded the airbox fitment , otherwise there was no gap between strut brace and airbox cover.

And yes. Where can i get eos manifold, shows sold out quite a time now.

Thanks.
