What’s causing my 2ABD code?

Suddenly I got the 2ABD Intake pressure sensor, re-running code and half engine dash light when staring the car. Twice in a row. Any suggestions?

That code is usually a connection issue. Unplug, spray with connector cleaner both ends. Replug and make sure no fray or damage at connections and not taught. Both sensors.

If this is upon startup, then most likely a connection issue or bad sensor. If it is when you give it the beans...then you have a boost leak in your intercooler piping somewhere between the outlet thru to the charge pipe to the throttle body.

Remember to reset throttle adaptations if you do unplug it while battery is connected or you most likely will get errors. Standard key in accessories on, 30 second wait applies.

Thanks for the info. I do have a new 3.5bar N20 TMAP arriving tomorrow from FCP.

{But I’m now wondering if a low battery condition could cause this and possibly other codes. No 2ABD codes in the last week at all since I’ve had the car in the garage on the trickle charger. Previously when I got the codes the battery must have been weaker - not on the trickle charger. Since installing the BPM4 lpfp controller I now always get the 2DED codes . Also IIRC previously got 2FDA and 2FDB codes at low battery when the car had been sitting a week or so.}

I am sure it is possible as I have heard of strange things happening if the battery gets low. Take it off the charger for a couple days and read the voltage with a meter and see where its at. Most battery's have dates on them too, how old is yours?

I have never gotten the 2DED code after installing the upgraded controller. However, I am getting a power management error after installing the Seicane Android Head Unit. It asks for one wire to be connected to constant power... which is causing the issue. It will turn off after 20 minutes or so after car is off. I can't find a switched source... if anyone knows of the location of a switched source in the fuse box, I'm all ears.

I got a new battery 4.5 years ago. Should be ok but I’ll check voltage.

I also have an aftermarket amp installed that also eventually shuts off in like 10-15 minutes I think. The combination of the two cause the 2DED power mgmt code. Never got that code with just the amp - only after I added the BPM4.

My clip on my map sensor doesn't hold it in well and sometime when its really hot it will pop out slightly and i get that code. Pop your hood and make sure everything is pushed together

I am experiencing this same issue. I replaced both sensors and checked wiring for any obvious issues (loose/frayed wires), but didn't find anything. There isn't much exposed wiring to check, so I'm concerned about an issue deeper in the loom. Any recommendations for next steps?

Ughhhhh still no dice. I ordered an OEM 3.5bar and an OEM for the intake manifold from FCP, but the 2ABD came back this morning to haunt me. Not sure on next steps. I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to testing electronics, so it may be time to bring it in to a shop for diagnosis... :grimacing:

Finally figured this out! Turns out the previous owner added an old o2 sensor signal modifier. Whoever installed it used crappy non-electrical tape, so the connections weren't reliable. I pulled the whole thing out, and I haven't seen a 2ABD since.

Found a pic of the magical wiring work responsible for my issues :grimacing:
