DOC Race N54 Intake Manifold Released

One of them you spray with copper and the other has grooves for gaskets. Personal preference I guess. But I've taken mine off enough times when working on the car to be glad I have gaskets. Not sure if the old copper spray is removed or not before you reapply.
I'm going to try and have the manifolds drilled for port meth. No promises but I'm sure I can make it happen at no additional charge. I'll keep everyone updated. BTW guys we actually sold our first 50 but I'm still getting people calling and messaging so I'm going to extend it till Sunday night.
Except you'd be silly to keep a sandwich plate over dedicated PI provisions.
You can sell the spacer kit for probably close to what you're paying for this upgrade and its much cleaner.
If the manifold fits with a spacer is the question. These are not the largest engine bays. Also, if the spacer moves everything an inch or two how does that affect the ic to throttle body connection/pipes? You may need to engineer your own solution with an offset silicone pipe etc. Is it worth the hassle?
As the spacer is just more points of failure and more potential boost leaks I can see no reason to run one with a manifold that has provisions for it. It is just asking for issues and adds complication every time you need to remove the intake manifold.
I'm a big fan of doing it right and doing it once.
Sell your spacer.
Again, I don't see why anyone would order the doc race intake manifold without full provisions. It's small money at the end of the day and a correctly priced spacer should sell quick.
Someone who is only looking for the visual upgrade or someone on a budget. Its an easy way to save a few hundred bucks if you don't have much in the way of power goals and just want to get rid of the fugly waffle intake.

Have had PI for a year and a half. not one issue.. ppl gotta stop buying MMP lol. My Motiv plate is completely fine.

Adding the 1 inch port injection plate in addition to the manifold will make the charge pipe useless. It will also make less room available for the coolant reservoir and power steering reservoir which is already tight on space. Judging from my FabFactory I wouldn’t recommend it.
Never used a sandwich plate myself, but I believed in them as bridge options before we had PI support like we do now. I was a fan of TBI as well, for the limited purposes that it served anyway.
Some people may remember I had a thread on another forum, trying to get a test car down to Van Nuys for fitting a TBI setup. I couldn't do it back then because I had crashed my E90 and did not have a car at the time.
I used one for the last two years. I wouldn’t hesitate to use it again on a stock intake. I’m just saying physically it would cause some figment “issues” with a forward facing intake especially one that comes with a chargepipe as the Doc Race is being touted as. You are moving everything an inch to the left essentially.
I guess what I’m trying to say is if you already have a PI plate and order this manifold without PI expecting to swap yours over you are in for a world of hurt and disappointment. If you are ordering this manifold without PI because E85 is not available in your area and you want to add meth bungs or nitrous nozzles then SEND IT!!!
Phew, just got in on this with a few hours to spare. I'm running FBO with VVT 2+ and want to retain factory location dci's.
So I just went for the lower flow injectors, as I'm not chasing DCT busting power (plus no lsd yet).
Can anyone recommend what else I will need to set up the PI? Maybe good brand recommendations, and what $$$ I'll be looking at?
I'm a bit noob regarding fueling setups. Thanks.
