If you just have the plate from PR or MMP for example I don’t see why not.

I’ll ask for clarification and to be sure though.

@CaStylin N55 kit fits and includes plug and play connectors We can have it sent on Monday to you.

Just out of curiosity, is the only difference between the N54 & N55 kit the plug length? I had a dream last night that I got the DOC manifold and couldn't install it because of the coils... weird dream but now I wonder if I could move the N55 kit back to the hot side if needs be

Just the length of the wires yes, they have extra length to reach the manifold side. Otherwise, it’s the same thing.

I have a top mount st with a sharps manifold and port injection. I’ll take an n55 kit. Would i be able to exchange for an n54 kit if the n55 kit doesn’t fit?

If you want to pay for the shipping back and forth, I don’t see why not. Let’s verify first though. I’m just trying to check with Precision first and I’ll PM you ASAP! :)

It looks like there isn't an install guide out yet for the N55 kit. Could someone describe the correct orientation of the coil brackets? Should the longer legs be up or down and for bench preassembly between which coils do the mounting brackets go?

There seems to be some fitment issues with the N55 brackets on an N54. I believe it was confirmed here that it should fit. Any insight as to how to proceed? It seems like different brackets are needed.

...there are N55 kits in stock which just mount on the intake manifold and work on n54 cars.

N54 Kit allows the engine cover to fit without modifications.

N55 Kit will require trimming.

Verified with Robert at Precision. :)

Looks like you can fold that 90deg tab flat a bit to extend it out. Push it down and stretch it away from manifold. Think tje way a recliner gets longer as you lay it flat hahaha

Robert explained that it bolts to the fuel rail, not the manifold. I'll try that tonight .

What about the wiring, is it long enough? I'm not sure if the n54 or n55 have the same location for injector wires which is why I'm curious. You should update with some installed photos and tips for those who go this route.

Yes for all install questions it’s best to just contact Robert directly as you’ll get the fastest answer that way and he can explain direct to you.

Also if you can post the install photos @BreakMyBillfold when you get it, that would really be awesome.

Wiring is long enough for sure 100 percent.

Do you know if precision will sell the n55 stuff? I'm sure there will be some who wish to convert their n54 kit into an n55 kit with a few parts.

I only found the n54 wires/coils. I definitely could see many shift over to the n55 side on their n54 once the new boots come out.
