Our car was ahead of a car that ran a 10.6 but it crossed the center line so they do not time you. Mid 10's are possible. Getting a 6MT into the 9's is going to take a lot more than is going on with this build, no fault of the owner, just the facts of the matter. My point for posting the log, is shift bog is not an issue on these cars any longer.

Ok @Tony@VargasTurboTech since your so smart and all. What in my build dont i have to run 9's?
Come on lets hear it....

Oh and when i do run 9's youll be the first person ill tag :grinning:

look at a c6 z06. people run a good set of headers a good intake, and then throw on a good heads / cam package with a tune an make 580WHP - 600WHP. then with a proper set of slicks and skinnies those cars run 9's all day with only 600whp. because they are light and with 15' welds can run insane amounts of tire.

Our platform has plenty of power for 9's. Even if our transmissions suck at shifting, I still think that's not what's holding us back. Its the fact we can hardly fit 275 rear tires, have open diffs, and our car's weigh a shit ton.

Rather than trying to build an N54 car with the most power (800+) and the most parts, I think going back to basics would make the car run a better 1/4 mile. Light weight. Big tires. Strong drivetrain. good power. (not insane power) C6Z runs 9's with less power than us and has all those basic things.

Someone needs to do a N54 build to 9's by working on the basics from the ground up.
-135i in base spec completely stripped down to chassis with as much weight loss as possible. only interior items should be a driver seat, steering wheel, and shifter. open downpipe, 2 piece rotors. skinnies up front. carbon fiber roof. legit make it 2500 lbs
-n5tuner widebody (use rivets for all I care)
-15" wheels with BIG AND WIDE radials. Im talking MT ET street R 325/50/15. its possible with N5tuner rear.
-8.8 conversion with LSD, all aluminum mounts, other drivetrain upgrades..

I think that setup would run a better 1/4 mile with say 600WHP on a decent single with minimal lag then a lot of the cars we've been seeing with 800+WHP. Just food for thought

You describe everything my car has.
Lightweight
Big fat tires
Stronger rear end
Locked diff
You dont need a 325/50.
My tire size is the absolute biggest that can be fit on our cars.width wise.
Go buy some 275/60r15 et street radial pro and tell me what you run into.
Hooking isnt the issue on this platform.its getting out of the hole.

I have no idea what u mean by that lol. forgive my ignorance but what exactly is the difference between hooking and getting out of the whole. Do you mean the problem is like with bogging after launch?

Hooking means not spinning the tires a lot when you launch. But you still have to propel yourself forward from that point when traction is obtained, and there are various elements at play affecting how fast you do that besides just traction. The term 'hole' also leads to this term:

Just curious, Do you know what the issue on this platform in that specifically holds us back from "getting out of the hole"?

Um no thanks, there are many things you do not have, and one major thing you do have that will keep you from 9's. The stock motor is a huge one, and the 6MT is another huge one. So wait, it's the 28" tires, and skinnies that are going to do it for you? Oh ok, got it. We have been doing this before you owned a 335. So yes I am smarter than when it comes to fast N54's.

Oh, look 28" slicks, and skinnies on a 335 2 years ago. If you want me to be blunt, your car WONT go 9's. My guess is after 2-3 times to the track, and the car is still running 11's you will stop posting. Anyways, calling out the person who has done more pushing than anyone on this platform is a stupid plan... Cheers

LOL. Sure you can..... Nothing more fun than someone coming into the platform, and making all sorts of claims he is not going to back up. So you have a car that is going to run 9's with no cage, a 6MT, a stock motor, the list goes on. I was being nice, now I am just flat calling you out, if you want to put some money on it, we can do that too.

For the auto guys weak trannys and no transbrake and for the manual guys building boost off the line. Both issues can be solve by either tranny swap for the auto guys or for the 6mt guys running antilag to build boost off the line

? Please show any evidence of this. We tried running all the available anti-lag strategies at the line every which way to sunday, the results were it flat out didn't work, or it was less effective than a good 2-step. The current Anti-lags available to us, are not a solution to anything honestly.

30psi+ off the line with the very rudimentary version of flash only anti-lag I cooked up
6MT looking to actually go fast will be very happy with that and some other pending goodies.
cmon dude make this quick...you have been teasing us for ever now....convince me to manual swap!

btw this build is bad ass dawg i love it and thanks for hte shout out on the trans mounts :)
