20g off means the xclutch was actually 230g/cm off on balance. Why so much higher than the spec given?
Gotta ask this question. Who did it? How confident are you in their equipment calibration/accuracy and the guy doing the balancing knows what he's doing.
@noorj I would not be so quick to conclude that the calibration from XClutch was off. We don't know yet who did the calibration, etc, that yielded the 20g number. Hoping we get details.

@MFactory, can you please provide a status update? I know you previously said "beginning of May," but there previously have been slips in the schedule. So it'd be helpful if you could confirm whether we're still looking at early May.

Thought I’d have my car back but sadly my slave cylinder blew so hopefully I get it back tomorrow. In the meantime, while the shop did my clutch, they did a walnut blast. enjoy a wonderful before and after of my valves

As stated earlier guys, use a new slave cylinder when doing a new clutch as its a 50/50 mix if they fail or not especially above 80k but its cheaper if you do because of the towing fees and the major hassle to save 50 bucks.

I have to say since installing the carbon driveshaft to my car the nvh in 5th is totally gone as it did have a little bit but not much, the smfw transfers the nvh to the driveshaft and when they get older the more nvh you will get.

Also the reported shimmering from the throw out bearing, even though it gets quiet is reduced to almost non existent and its more like a muffled hum.

Would love for someone to get their shaft rebuilt and balanced and report back or even better get a 1 piece made as even with other clutches I think this would help a lot and
driving with a twin plate of any brand would be more tolerable but the best would be to get a carbon fibre one as that's the final piece to the puzzle at this stage.

The car is a pure pleasure to drive with this clutch and even the most discerning ear would not have a problem going for a drive with my current setup.

The latest I've got from the manager is the container is due to arrive next week. If you've not already put in your pre-order (i.e PM'd me regarding payment), please note that pre-order pricing is only valid up until the stock has arrived and ready to ship out to customers. After this, the pricing will revert back to MSRP

If you are on the group buy list and wish to order at the pre-order pricing, please contact me asap.

Regarding the balancing issue, could you PM me with more details and I'll forward onto the engineer. Thanks!

I put about 150 city miles on my new ceramic XClutch. Weather here has been crappy and this car only sees the road on sunny days.

My local track has a drag day this Friday and I'm itching to make some passes. I'm going to try to rack up miles this week. But is it too soon to start abusing this clutch with launches and NLS at 750whp? Someone should probably talk me out of this...

O would definetly put at least 500 miles on it otherwise your asking for trouble

Lol - thanks for the reality check guys. I'll skip the drag day and try to get to the next one after exceeding 500 miles.

So far, the clutch has been good. I will say that the first 100 miles on the ceramic took some getting used to. Was very grabby. But it seems to be loosening up now.

It doesn't work like that. Clutch break in mileage is a rough estimate of how much the assembly is engaged/disengaged based on typical city driving. As in lots of start/stop so the clutch is used a fair amount over those miles.

I can install a new clutch and take car on 500 mile road trip doesn't mean that shit is broken in lol

Guess I should have used a different smiley. Hard to convey joking.

@Dreyo27, were you able to connect with MFactory and get more details on the balancing issues to confirm whether yours was outside of the advertised specification?

I was not contacted, no, but I did bring this up with XClutch and they said to forward them more information and they will look into it as it shouldn't be off by that much.

On a slightly different note, I will actually be at Xtreme Clutch HQ in AU next week, so if you guys have any particular questions or require images of anything, please let me know.
